I'm an idiot.
The January 6 Committee’s credibility suffered a serious blow on
Tuesday when reports surfaced that the lead Secret Service agent
in charge of former President Trump’s security detail that day
would contradict testimony delivered from star witness Cassidy
Hutchinson.

On Tuesday, former White House aide Cassidy Hutchinson testified
that former President Trump literally tried to commandeer the
presidential suburban during the January 6 riot and became
borderline violent when Bobby Engel tried to stop him.
Hutchinson said she learned of the story from Tony Ornato, the
then-White House deputy chief of staff. Hours later, Peter
Alexander of NBC News said that a source close to the Secret
Service indicated that agent Bobby Engel will testify “under
oath that neither man was assaulted and that Mr. Trump never
lunged for the steering wheel.”

?? A source close to the Secret Service tells me both Bobby
Engel, the lead agent, and the presidential limousine/SUV driver
are prepared to testify under oath that neither man was
assaulted and that Mr. Trump never lunged for the steering wheel.

Conservatives and Trump allies immediately pounced on the
report, saying it completely destroys any credibility the
January 6 show trial had hoped to retain.

January 6th Committee “witness” Cassidy Hutchinson basically
claimed that President Trump was a Ninja.

The Media is saying that is a LIE.

So is President Trump the #MAGANinja or no? ????

bullshit on the Secret Service story. You think none of us would
have never heard of this as an internal rumor? No fucking way.”

The story is patently absurd. The problem is that half the
country believes it, just like toddlers believe that a monster
lives under the bed. Seven years of nonstop media gaslighting
turned a large chunk of the adult population into imbecilic
children.

First, today’s testimony was hearsay, meaning it wasn’t actually
witnessed by the witness and would almost certainly be excluded
from an actual court trial. Second, the president rides in the
back of his vehicle, wouldn’t it be impossible to grab the
wheel? Third…

Peter Alexander just reported that the Secret Service is
categorically denying the testimony of Hutchinson that Donald
Trump tried to grab the steering wheel of the Beast.

The Secret Service ultimately has to follow all of the
President's orders... So aside from the fact that it was
physically/logistically impossible for Trump to try to wrestle
the limo steering wheel away... he would've never needed to.

The January 6 committee clowned itself.

If this is true, it means the January 6 committee allowed a
completely ridiculous accusation to air on national television
before even interviewing the Secret Service agents WHO WERE
ACTUALLY IN THE CAR about whether or not it was accurate.

While the media has been comparing the supposed star J6 witness
to John Dean, it looks like they should have been comparing her
to Jussie Smollett.

Who could have seen this coming? ??

Right-wing strategist Steve Bannon, a prominent Donald Trump
ally, floated the possibility of a "criminal referral" for
Cassidy Hutchinson being sent to the Justice Department after
her testimony Tuesday before the House's January 6 committee.

Cassidy, a former aide to Mark Meadows, Trump's White House
chief of staff, testified under oath about a series of events
and conversations that occurred with top Trump administration
officials and the president on and around January 6. Some legal
experts have called her testimony a "smoking gun" demonstrating
Trump's criminal culpability, while he and his allies have tried
to undermine Hutchinson's credibility.

Bannon, who served as the chief executive of Trump's 2016
campaign and then as a chief strategist to the former president,
touted the possibility of a "criminal referral" against
Hutchinson during a Thursday segment of his War Room podcast
with former Trump White House official Boris Epshteyn.

"And I think Jody Hunt, the lawyer [for Hutchinson], should be
disbarred," Bannon said. "What they did with this young woman is
outrageous—and they're using her. And they're going to cast her
aside quickly because of what happened."

He asked Epshteyn, "Are we going to see some criminal referrals
here, sir?"

"We absolutely should. A criminal referral is absolutely
appropriate," the fellow Trump ally responded. Epshteyn went on
to say that Hutchinson had "lied under oath" and suggested that
she had committed "perjury."

Trump and his allies, as well as some others involved in the
incidents described, have pushed back against and rejected key
parts Hutchinson's testimony.

Though she was not in the SUV at the time, she said she heard
the account from Tony Ornato, a senior Secret Service official
who was at the time White House deputy chief of staff for
operations, when everyone was back at the White House. Also in
the room was Bobby Engel, the head of Trump's security detail
who was in the SUV with Trump and, according to Hutchinson, did
not speak up to dispute any of Ornato's account.

I heard Cassidy Hutchinson's neighbor say, "...Cassidy sucks off
the postman, trashman, gas meter reader, water meter reader,
electric meter reader and the Amazon delivery guys...".

I believe the neighbor. Neighbors don't lie.

Donald Trump limo video claim sparks hilarious meme fest online

An alleged video of Donald Trump in a limo recently shared by
the January 6 committee attempted to show the former president
reportedly trying to grab the steering wheel of the vehicle to
drive to the US Capitol on the day of the January 6 attack.

The claim came to light after Trump's former White House Chief
of Staff Mark Meadows’ aide Cassidy Hutchinson testified about
the matter at a recent hearing on the January 6 attack.

Today's testimony makes clear that Trump wanted to go to the
Capitol with the armed mob, despite warnings not to do so from
his advisors.

When the Secret Service ruled out the possibility, the former
President erupted in anger in the Suburban he was riding in.

She cited a story from Tony Ornato, Assistant Director of the
U.S. Secret Service Office of Training, and claimed that Trump
allegedly wanted to go to the Capitol during the riots to
“fight” against the 2020 election results and Joe Biden’s
presidential win.

The former president then boarded the presidential limo, known
as “The Beast”, with Secret Service agent Bobby Engel, and
thought they were headed to the Capitol. Hutchinson said:

“So once the President had gotten into the vehicle with Bobby,
he thought that they were going up to the Capitol.”
However, as Engel refused to head towards the building, Trump
allegedly responded angrily:

“When Bobby had relayed to him, ‘we’re not you don’t have the
assets to do it... It’s not secure. We’re going back to the West
Wing,’ the president had a very strong, very angry response to
that. Tony described him as being irate.”

Funny shit at the link.
